Final Digipak

This is the end product for the digipak, after several designs and lots of hard work later we have finally finished and this is the design that we are happy with. The next stage is to start our evaluation, this will involve us looking at all the conventions and seeing how we have used them, challenged them and how it relates to other products from the same music genre.

Feedback

Today we asked different people their opinion on our digipak

Mr Huchins said (Media Teacher)

  • Thinks the concept works well
  • The photographic pages work well but still need work because they look to bare.
Sam Drake (fellow student)

  • Agrees that it does look bare compared with other digipaks
  • The Logo of Kaiser Chiefs should be bigger than the album name on the front of the digipak.

Digipak version 3

This is our finished digipak. As you can see I've added three artistic photographs as well at a black square, this is where the CD case will be. all in all i'm very impressed with the final product but i understand that feedback needs to be given because of my bias against my own work. We will be asking fellow students and peers to leave us feedback on the digipak.

Digipak version 2

This is the second version of our digipak. I have added all the music to the back page as well as all the copyright information. As well as this i have added all the bar codes and symbols that are on Kaiser Chiefs album employment.

Digipak version 1

This is a copy of a work in progress really we have started the digipak but have but it on the back burner a little bit while we finish of the final cuts of our music video. Once we have finished this though we will get audience feedback and then produce a final version of the Digipak.

Digipak Template

This is a copy of the digipak template that we used for our own digipak as you can see its a 6 piece digipak with space for a CD in our design though we are going to have space for a band booklet

The finished CD cover

Here is the final CD cover, although it is still in development we are confident that this is as close to finished as it will get the only thing we might add to it is logos or special offer shapes. We will do this and post the finished version when its done. To create this we have taken the winner from both questionnaires we conducted. One questionnaire was to find the font use and the other was to find out which photography people preferred. It wasn't just about the questionnaires though me and Matt both preferred these winners as well we did vote on the questionnaire and both voted for the winners, this is because we think that both the photograph and the font perfectly fit the genre we are trying to target, the rock indie genre.

We will now add to the cd cover by building the digipak around it, this is the start of a very long process . We will conclude the process by conducting feedback on our product and make improvements from there.
